Excerpt: Letter From Rick Steves' Radio Manager

Below is an excerpt of a letter I received from Rick Steves' Radio Show Manager. It is in Reference to a Haiku poem that I wrote about my experience sleeping in the hay in a barn in the Alpine village of Gimmelwald, Switzerland. Here is a copy of the Haiku and the excerpt follows.

Gimmelwald Manger

As the King of Kings in Straw

You Sleep Divinely

Lloyd:

Congratulations! We’ve selected one of your haiku submissions to use on an upcoming edition of “Travel with Rick Steves.” Your poem about the manger scene in Gimmewald will be read in the middle of program #75, which also features interviews about Peru and Fiji.

You should be able to access archived audio of the program as of next Sunday, December 3. A list of local radio station airtimes and our schedule on Sirius Satellite Radio in North America is in the radio section of our website. (Program #75 will be broadcast the weekend of Dec. 2, 2006.)
